Prado of course is good but no photo allowed even without flash? Too strict. Been there before and it was allowed. Been to other museums all over the world and photos using phone camera without flash is allowed. Part of the experience in the 20th century is taking some photos of favorites memorable experiences. We are frequent museum visitors with GenZ visitors too. And to attract young people too this must be considered.

The Ecce Homo by Caravaggio is undoubtedly a work of art that conveys all the characteristic suffering of that fact, I loved the way they distribute the sections in the museum and it was super fun to know everything they had to see, no doubt there is too much to see in this museum, I give 10/10 excellent experience.

The works of Picasso, Miro, Tapies, Dali. Excellent also the temporary exhibition halls was a glimpse of what can currently be appreciated in Spain.

The paintings of Picasso , Dali were very good. The lunch that was served in their outdoor garden restaurant was EXCELLENT!!

The Reina Sofia Museum is home to the greatest Spanish artists from the 20th century which attracts more than 3.5 million visitors annually. The collections consist of 1,653 paintings and 707 sculptures along with a horde of paperwork, graphic art, and photographs.

However the museum is most famous for the Guernica. This prolific piece by Pablo Picasso symbolizes Spain’s transition to democracy and is a universally recognized icon for the principles of anti-war and anti-autocracy. With lush gardens and vaulted hallways, walking through this artwork abode is a delight in itself and that statement doesn’t even account for the artworks inside.

Over 20 Dali pieces, a room dedicated to Joan Miro’s paintings, and a room on Women at the Forefront featuring works by the iconic Angeles Santos, Delhy Tejero and more, make this modern art museum is a wonderland of art! What's not allowed

Photos without flash, tripod, monopode, or any other stabilizing element of cameras are allowed, except where otherwise indicated. No photos or image recordings are allowed in area 206 (Guernica).

Accessibility

The venue loans special hearing loops for people with hearing impairment.

Additional information

Make sure to keep your ticket during the entire visit, as the Museum staff may ask you for it at any time.
Due to conservation measures, the exhibition rooms must be kept at a constant temperature of 21º Celsius. Given the temperature inside the Museo, an item of warm clothing in summer is recommended.
Visitors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone between the age of 14 and 18 who wishes to visit the museum without an adult must show his or her national ID document.
There is free entry for guests with a valid ID under the age of 18 years, over the age of 65 years, and for students under 25 years.
