The guide was excellent. She was knowledgable, full of enthusiasm and made the visit to the museum a memorable one. I am learning Spanish and had chosen this tour because it offered both English and Spanish guiding. The guide effortlessly switched between the two languages and I was pleasantly surprised to find I could understand most of the Spanish, even though I am at a quite low level - thanks I am sure to the guide's clarity of speech.

I loved the late afternoon time slot when the museum was less crowded. The group was rather large, but the tour guide did a good job of herding the group through the highlights. She was very knowledgeable and personable, sharing just the right balance of historical and artistic insights. The tour was the good length of time (1.5-2 hours) for seeing the essential highlights, leaving time to explore the museum on my own afterwards.

We started the tour 15 minutes late and the guide started to show us El Bosco on her iPad because there were a lot of people looking at the painting. Then she didn't make sure that we could all see the information she was showing on her iPad (details of some works) because she passed them very quickly or only showed them to some of the group. You can tell that the guide knows a lot but it is not the experience I expected in such an important museum, even better I did the visit alone with my phone.

Ticketing experience was easy. App worked great. Attention to detail with follow up What's App reminders with address to meet was perfect. Marta was excellent. Spoke great English, had lots of good insights and a good sense of humor.

Some of the greats whose works adorn the Prado walls are Francisco Goya, El Greco, Diego Velazquez, Hieronymus Bosch, Peter Paul Rubens, and Titian. Thousands of other paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque period are also on display at the Prado Museum.
