Note that you must enter Pena Palace (not the gate, but the Palace) at the time slot assigned to you, or you may not be able to access the venue.

Please note that you will have to enter from the house tour entrance and not the main gate.

While the Pena Palace complex includes both the palace and gardens, there's still a short walk to the palace itself from the main entrance. The path is paved and climbs a bit and can take 30 minutes.

If you prefer to skip the walk, there's a shuttle bus available within the complex that takes you right up to the palace entrance.

There is an expected wait time of 15-20 mins at the entrance/security to scan the ticket.

You can park your car in the historic center of Sintra or the peripheral car parks available. There are parking lots at the park entrance but may be limited depending on the number of visitors.

Bus number 434 leaves from Sintra Station and delivers you to the Pena Palace stop. The ride takes just 15-20 minutes. Walking isn't recommended as the route has a lot of steep sections and takes nearly an hour.

Pena Palace prioritizes visitor safety with timed entry. While your exploration of the interior has a designated time slot, it provides enough time to see the highlights.
