Everything was smooth. We were picked up in a pick up point near our hotel, went to Salt mine, enjoyed the tour there and after, went to Auschvitz, where we also had a guide who explained everything in detail, answered our questions and made everything run smoothly

The tour itself was ok, the quides were good and the communication worked. My problem was that we didn't have time to eat. Eating wasn't allowed on the bus or during the tours (there were a few short breaks, but you had to choose between queueing for snacks or going to toilets. The first short (15min) break on an extremely hot parking lot was after 9 hours of touring. I honestly thought I was going to faint during the Auschwitz tour as I hadn't understood to buy drinks from an expensive wending machine outside the venue. I saw an elderly lady faint from exhaustion and heat during the tour. I heard the guide explain to somebody that this happens a lot. I would have appreciated having a clear 30-45min break for eating and resting and having that information in the beginning of the tour. The 3-9min breaks on hot parking lots just weren't good enough. Also having water bottles on bus would be a food idea especially on hot days - you could really save someone. It is surprising how much you need to drink when the temperature rises over +30C and there is a LOT of walking

Fantastic tours very moving st Auschwitz and Biirkenau then onto the fantastic tour of the Salt Mines,. It was a very long day as our pick up time was at 5.45am but we really enjoyed it

The guide at Auschwitz-birkenau was very professional. She recalled continously enormous amounts of historical dates, numbers and more all the time keeping us grounded with the human tragedy of it all. She varied her narrative from the large historical details to the small aspects and lived experience from the victims of nazi germany. I am very grateful for this profound insight in human evil nature, and will do my best not to forget what I have learned. Thank you.

Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau

Your day tour begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel or a central meeting point in Krakow. At Auschwitz-Birkenau, your guide will navigate your way through the memorial site. You'll start with Auschwitz: on the way, you'll be ushered with facts and chilling stories about the Nazi atrocities that took place in this concentration camp. After a short break, you'll be on your way to the second camp, Birkenau.

Historic salt mine

You'll then visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine after an hour-long lunch break. Your guide will fill you in on the history of the mine, and point out incredible chambers, original sculptures, and authentic miner workplaces here.

Birkenau Museum: 1 hour
Lunch break: 1 hour
Salt Mine in Wieliczka: 2.5 hours
Travel back to Krakow

The pace and duration of the tours are determined by the memorial’s visitor service. Hence, the pick-up time/duration of the tour is subject to change.
Note: As per the requirements of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, all participants are required to provide their full name as part of the booking. Entry may be refused if the name provided on the booking is not identical to the name on the ID provided when entering.
Pick-up is possible from the hotels located in the center of Cracow. If your hotel location is in an area beyond this or in an area with limited traffic/accessibility, then you will be picked up from the nearest possible pickup place. The tour operator will provide the exact location and pickup time at least a day before your scheduled tour.
This is a walking tour that starts by going down 800 stairs. We recommend wearing sports shoes.
Sightseeing in the salt mine takes place 135 m under the surface where the temperature is between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. We recommend wearing appropriate clothes.
Toilets located near the museum are paid.
The maximum dimensions of a bag: Auschwitz-Birkenau – 30 x 20 x 10 cm, Wieliczka Salt Mine – 35 x 20 x 20 cm.
Due to safety reasons, Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau visitors may undergo a personal and bag security check.
