Such a great way to get an overview of a new city and make note of where you might want to spend more time later. We did one full bus tour without getting off then another one and got off at the sites we were we wanted to take more time to explore. Then we hopped on to the next site! Edinburgh had a new bus come through every 10-12 minutes, so we never had to wait long. It was worth getting the 3-route tickets so we could see the city and the royal tour a little bit outside the city.

Was great to see all of Edinburgh from the top of the bus and see the royal attractions included - the castle, the yacht and holyrood house a real royal experience.

This was a wonderful experience for us as our time in Edinburgh was limited. We got entry into the "must see" places and the 3 different bus routes show you the entire area as well as city center. We actually enjoyed the recorded guide more than the live guide as it was easier for us to understand.

The first day we rode the entire route to get a feel for the city. Then we chose which stops were more relevant to our needs and utilized the bus to maximize our ability to see as much as we could. The second day we were able to see more because quite honestly riding multiple times we saw sights we missed on other trips.
