The Alkazar visit was great, I have loved park with peacocks and the gardens were amazing. Also liked the rooms from scene "Game of Thrones"

I didn't find the bedroom and generally there were too many people and I didn't find the palace as impressive as I would have thought

The attraction is very beautiful, but there are too many tourists there, in order to be able to enjoy everything well, a maximum of half should only be allowed in at any one time. It is understandable that all tourists want to visit the Pales and the sights, but it is just too crowded and stressful, yet the park in particular was very, very beautiful and worthwhile, there is a little more space to enjoy!

With the tickets it went well we can go in without any problems. And the mix between the Mouse and I had Lieke architecture was nice to see in Alcazar

Ticketing process was quick and easy. Enjoyed the palace although royal bedrooms did not turn out to be an option for us. The Islamic style palace was amazing but it was easy to get lost. The whole place needs better signage.

A confluence of Christian and Mudéjar architectural styles

Take a tour of the Royal Alcázar, Europe's oldest royal palace that houses several palaces and centenary gardens. It is better known in recent times for being one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones! The next time you rewatch the scenes with the Water Gardens of Dorne, keep an eye out for the intricate tiles that make up the palaces or the beautiful hedgerows that line the gardens. You will get to observe the architecture of the palaces in great detail, where you can see the fantastic confluence of Christian and Mudéjar architecture.

See history unravel in the real Alcázar’s palaces and courtyards

You will enter the palace through the Puerta del León (Lion's Gate), which will lead you to the Mudéjar Palace built by King Pedro I. Don't miss out on the Hall of Justice, as well as the Gothic Palace. Wander through the lovely Patio de las Doncellas, which literally translates to The Courtyard of the Maidens. You can see beautifully tiled sockets and the delicate marble inlay here. Also, check out Patio de las Muñecas (Patio of the Dolls) with its fascinating arcs that have the faces of little girls or dolls inlaid at the beginning. This was presumably a domestic courtyard where the royal princes and princesses used to play. For Renaissance pieces, do take a look at Francisco Niculoso Pisano’s admirable altar of tiles (1504).

According to the Alcázar regulations, each guest must carry their personal ID or original physical document. Online documents, photocopies, or images of your ID will not be accepted by the venue.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind trolleys, suitcases, sharp metallic tools or objects, drones, selfie sticks, food & beverages, ammunition and prohibited substances are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!
Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography, tripods, monopods, and any type of commercial photography or filming without express authorization from the Board of Trustees is a no-go inside the venue.
It is prohibited to touch or tarnish any artistic representation, pillars, and works of art.
Guests under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Re-entry is not possible.
