The Palace was beautiful, lots of great pictures. That said, getting there was not clear at all. It would have been helpful to have a guide on how to get a bus to the venue, what expectations we could have for the amount of time to get from the metro to the venue and costs associated with it. Furthermore, it's not your fault, I have travelled extensively all over the world and Sintra ranks at the top for tourist traps. The solicitations I encountered form people trying to sell me rides and tourist guides was completely out of hand. Though the palace is very nice I would never recommend someone go there due to the hassle of being accosted by solicitors, the hassle it takes to get there and the pretty outrageous food costs at some of the restaurants.

The Palácio was very beautiful and the support team very kind and helpful. But we couldn't get the transportation to go to the palacio's enter I think only one bus that go to and from the palacios isn't enough for the requeste!

So glad we had tickets ahead of time. The only way to go. And they were very gracious when the traffic was terrible and we got there 15 minutes late. They still let us in. Do you allow extra time for the traffic going up the hill. We had a great driver who took us actually off road and got us there much more quickly.

I loved the experience, the visit and Sintra un general. Regarding the app, Iit was a little bit confussing. To get the ticket for Pena Palace you had to download the app, but then it was relatively easy to get to the ticket. But then for Regaleira it redirected you to anothe website where you had to download the ticket from, eventhough it was a combined ticket. Anyways, the general process was great

The place is wonderful, there are a lot of people but it is July and I think it's cool a lot of people on vacation, I would recommend going in spring I think I will return at that time because the gardens will be beautiful.

Pena Palace

Please keep in mind that you must enter through the home tour entry rather than the main gate. -The walk from the Park's entrance to the Palace takes around 30 minutes. This ticket only allows access to Pena Palace. Plan your visit so that you reach Pena Palace on schedule.
Private cars are not permitted to enter this monument. It is advised to use the available walking paths or public transit. You may park your car in the historic core of Sintra or in one of the nearby car parks.
