The Story

The story tells the life of a young girl, Matilda. The musical begins with her birth and moves on to describe her unhappy upbringing as she lives with her TV-addicted family and bears their constant abuse. She is an intelligent child who loves reading even though her family believes that it is a complete waste of one’s time. Due to the abuse she faces Matilda often plays pranks on people aided by her telekinetic powers. Matilda even plays pranks on her school’s headmistress, Mrs Trunchbull whom she believes to be a bully. Soon, she develops a strong friendship with her teacher Miss Honey, who admires Matilda’s intellect and almost magical abilities. The story progresses to explore the relationship between Matilda and Miss Honey, and Matilda’s desire for freedom. To watch it all unfold, book Matilda The Musical tickets now.

You are asking me what I liked most of the activity. I can simply say EVERYTHING. The entire set was was amazing ... school benches coming up and going down, hanging of alphabets forming different words. I am 71 years old but still I enjoyed forming words using vertical, horizontal alphabets. What can I say about the actors and their performance? Each and everyone on the stage was performing as if he was born to be that character. Matilda was really an unbelievable experience! The set, the coordination, the kids with their dance, acting and acrobatics. The most favourite was the alphabet song where they keep pushing letter blocks and the kids on top just trust that the next block will exactly be there when they step or lean on it.

Super show! The staging, the choruses, the songs and all the - sometimes very young - artists! Bravo! Be careful when reserving your place on the map, the diagram is "reversed" (the stage is shown at the top, in France it's usually at the bottom).

The musical itself was fantastic! The performers, the musicians and the decor were awesome! The only star left out was because of the public ... so noisy it was a bit annoying!
